Deblina Chatterjee or Debolina Chatterjee is an Indian television actress. She was born on 13th March 1993 in Mumbai. Deblina is known for her works in television series like Sajda Tere Pyaar Mein, Balika Vadhu and Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman and many more. She made her feature film debut with the award winning Bengali film, Ami Aadu. The film was released in the year 2011.
Career of Deblina Chatterjee
Deblina began her career with modelling. In 2010, she played the leading role in the Bengali movie "Ami Aadu" which was directed by Somnath Gupta. It was her debut movie and it garnered her critical appreciation and a prestigious award. She was in the lead role named Aadu, which was highly appreciated. "Ami Aadu" was about the girl Aadu who writes a letter to the U.S. President George W. Bush about her hardships of life due to the invasion of Iraq in 2003. The film was shown at the 2011 IFFI and won the 58th National Film Award for the Best Feature Film in Bengali.
Later, she started focusing on television shows. She made her television debut in 2012 with the serial Sajda Tere Pyaar Mein which aired on Star Plus. In the serial she essayed the role of a Muslim girl who saves her country from Terrorist and falls in love with a Hindu boy. In 2014, she essayed the role of Gauri Jagdish Singh in the serial Balika Vadhu which aired on Colors TV channel. Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Halla Bol, Sasural Simar Ka, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai are some of her popular TV shows, in which she acted in different roles. She has portrayed triple role in the mythological series Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanumaan, based on Lord Hanuman. On that show, she is seen playing the character of Lakshmi, Rukmini, Sita, Vedavati, Vishwamohini and Kali. Deblina Chatterjee received the Best Debutant Award for her performance in Ami Adu at the Star Jalsaa Awards show.
