Daying Ering Wildlife Sanctuary in Arunachal Pradesh is one of the most attractive tourist spots. It is enriched with rich green environment. Covering an area of 190 sq. km, this sanctuary is formed by 15% of alluvial grassland and wooded areas and water with waterfalls and rivers that flow along with the sanctuary. Located 13 km from Pasighat, this sanctuary is situated on a series of islands which have some of the most extraordinary ecosystem and natural scenic beauty.
Fauna of Daying Ering Wildlife Sanctuary
The grassy and forested area of the sanctuary is home of wild buffalo, deer, elephants and certain other rainforest species. Whereas, the dense wooded area is inhabited by animals like leopard, leopard cat, barking deer, civet cat, sambar, jackal, wild boar, python, porcupine etc. The migratory birds like cranes, wild ducks, storks, waterfowls from Siberia and Mongolia can be spotted in the park between September and February every year. This excites the amateur ornithologist along with nature photographers as well.
Picturesque Sights of Daying Ering Wildlife Sanctuary
Daying Ering Wildlife Sanctuary shares one of the most picturesque sights with river Siang which flows along with the sanctuary. This is one of the most prominent rivers which surrounds the northern, eastern and western parts of Arunachal Pradesh. The southern part of this sanctuary extends up to the state of Assam where it is called Kobo Chapori. Siang River takes the name of River Brahmaputra when it enters the state of Assam.

The sanctuary is located near Pasighat; nearest railway station of Pasighat is Murkong Selek. Nearest airport is Dibrugarh. National Highway 515 connects Pasighat to other major parts of the country.
