Darwha is a city situated in Yavatmal district of western state of India in Maharastra

It is 23 km. northeast of Digras and about 37 km. south east of Karanja in Wahim district. Darwha is situated 35 km. southwest of Singad while Yavatmal is 45km. towards the northeast of Darwha.

The closest airport is the Sonegaon Airport at Nagpur and the nearest railway station is the Darwha Railway Station. It is on the Karanja -Yavatmal rail line of Central Railways. The Municipality looks after the local administration. The place is situated 20.32° North latitude and 77.77° East longitude. The place is located at a height of 355 metres (1164 feet) above mean sea level.

According to the 2001 census report, Darwha has a population of 23,360 inhabitants. Males constitute 52% of the population while females constitute 48% of the population.13% of the population is less than six years of age. Darwha has an average literacy rate of 80% which is higher than the national literacy rate of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 83% while that of the female is 76%.

Painganga Wildlife Sanctuary and Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary are ideal destination for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. A pilgrimage spot for devotees, Darwha has the Mahadeo Temple in Moho village, Chintamani of Kalamb, Shri Ranganath Swami Temple at Wani. The Sahastrakund Waterfalls, the Jain pilgrim site of Karanja and Shreekshetra Pohradevi are other tourist spots in Darwha.
