Dalmau is a town as well as a nagar panchayat situated in the Rae Bareli district in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. The exact geographical location of Dalmau is at 26.07° North and 81.03° E. It has an average elevation of 115 metres (377 feet).

As per the 2001 India census, the town of Dalmau has a population of 8968. Males make up 52% of the population and females constitute 48%. The average literacy rate of 63% is higher than the nationwide standard of 59.5%. While the male literacy is 72%, the female literacy is 53%. In Dalmau, 14% of the population is less than 6 years of age.
