Features of Cinque Island Wildlife Sanctuary
Cinque Island Wildlife Sanctuary is the home to a vast array of Water Snakes, Turtles, Salt-Water Crocodile, Sea Anemones, Starfish, Shells, Colourful Fishes, Sea Weeds and Coral Reefs. Exquisite coral reef gardens surround the sanctuary, extending to a distance of a few hundred meters into the fathomless sea. Tourists can also enjoy adventurous activities like game fishing, snorkelling, scuba diving and camping. A unique feature of Cinque Island is that the water around it has a visibility range of up to 80 feet.

Visiting Information
Cinque Island Wildlife Sanctuary is located at a distance of around 26 kilometres from Port Blair and can be reached by a boat through all the major islands. Chartered boats belonging to the permitted category are required to be hired as no scheduled ferry services are available to reach the place. Prior permission is required from the Forest Department for visiting the island which can be obtained quite easily. However permission for night stay is seldom granted for Cinque Island Wildlife Sanctuary.
