Chitra Bharti Kathamala was a renowned Indian comics magazine that was in circulation during the early 1980s. The popular comics magazine was published and distributed by S.Chand and Company Ltd, in New Delhi, one of the most prominent publishers of Engineering and technical books in India. The Chitra Bharti Kathamala experienced modest success and the comics line was published once in every fortnight with a total of 24 issues in a particular year. Chitra Bharti Kathamala was published both in English and Hindi languages by S.Chand and Company. But the publishing of Chitra Bharti Kathamala was ended during the late 1980s, due to falling demand and preference of western comics by Indian comics readers.
