The tourist attractions in Chhaya are Kirti Mandir, Nehru Planetarium, Bharat Mandir, Huzoor Palace, Daria Rajmahal, Morvi and Victoria Jubilee Madrassa.The place also has a fine darbargadh palace .The main occupation of the people living here is agriculture. Cotton, groundnut, bajra, gram, wheat and jowar are some of the major crops that are cultivated here.
According to the 2001 census report, Chhaya has a population of 38,525. Males constitute 53% of the population while females comprises of 47% of the population. In Chhaya 12% of the population is less than six years of age. It has a literacy rate, which is 71%, which is quite high than the national literacy rate, which is 59.5%. The literacy of the male is 78% while that of the female is 62%.
