Chhawla

Chhawla is a census town in the Southwest district in the northern state of Delhi.

Chhawla is a census town situated in the southwest district in the state of Delhi. According to the 2001 census report, males constitute 57% of the population and females constitute 43% of the population.13% of the population is under six years of age. The average literacy rate of India is 59.5% whereas Chhawla has a literacy rate higher than that of the average literacy rate that is 77%. While 83% of the male population is literate only 68% of the male population is literate.

The Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) has planned an ambitious project at Chhawla .It is being established on about 15 acres near Chhawla by using the adjoining water channel from Dhansa to Chhawla which is 24 Km. long. The water channel is surrounded by thick forests on both sides and is directly connected to the proposed Chhawla tourist complex by water.
