In Vellore district of Tamil Nadu, Chettithangal is a census town in Tamil Nadu. According to the 2001 census report, Chettithangal had a population of 6029 people. The population is equally divided between the male and female.10% of the population is under six years of age.

The literacy rate of Chettithangal is 70%, which is higher than the national average of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 79% and the female literacy rate is 60%. The town has two primary schools one upper primary school and secondary school.
