Chain Singh is an Indian shooter of sports and is now competing for Rio Olympics 2016. Chain Singh had never heard of shooting until he entered adulthood when joined the Indian Army in 2007. With a total of 1170, Chain Singh had led the eight finalists from among the 12 who took part in qualification. Gagan Narang was second with 1167, ahead of Surendra Singh Rathod (1153). India won the team gold as well with a tally of 3490, pushing Sri Lanka (3431) and Bangladesh (3398) to the second and third spots.

Career of Chain Singh
Chain Singh won the bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Games at Incheon in the men`s 50m rifle 3 positions event. Chain Singh also won six gold medals, three in individual events and three in team events, in 2016 South Asiad Games held at Guwahati, Assam and Shillong, Meghalaya in India. His total scoring is 453.3 points in the final of national and Asian Games.

Chain Singh is a bronze medallist in the 2014 Asian Games held at Incheon in South Korea. Chain Singh won a bronze medal in the men`s 50m rifle three positions event. He shot a total of 441.7 points to finish behind two Chinese shooters -Cao Yifei and Zhu Qinan- who bagged first and second positions with 455.5 and 455.2 points respectively.

Chain Singh bagged six gold medals in the 12th South Asian Games held at Guwahati, Assam in India in 2016. Chain Singh won all the events he participated, both at team level as well as in individual performances.
