Breng Valley is located in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. The valley is named after the rivulet Brengi which is a tributary of famous Jhelum River. Akingam is the "Gateway of Breng Valley". A famous saint Sheikh Noor Din Wali (R.A) has described "Breng Valley as a Golden Crown of Kashmir". The valley bears an awesome natural landscape with tranquil and enchanting environment and is one of the most magnificent and picturesque tourist destinations in Kashmir.
Location of Breng Valley
Kokernag is the Sub-division headquarters of Breng valley which is located south of Srinagar at 75 kilometres at a height of 2000 meters. The valley spans more than 60 kilometres from Achabal and Dialgam on North-West and Sinthen Top, Fatan and Margan Top on South-East side.
