Bhagyashree, Bollywood ActressBhagyashree, born as Bhagyashree Patwardhan, is a popular film and television actress from India. She made her acting debut with the commercially successful Hindi film Maine Pyar Kiya, along with Bollywood star Salman Khan. She has been featured in several other films in Hindi and other languages. Bhagyashree has also acted in a few Hindi television serials as well. She is also the promoter of Shrishti Entertainment, a media company, which she manages along with her husband.

Early Life of Bhagyashree
Bhagyashree was born as Shrimant Rajkumari Bhagyashree Raje Patwardhan on 23 February 1969 in the family of Patwardhans from the city of Sangli in Maharashtra. Her father H.H. Meherban Shrimant Raja Vijaysinhrao Madhavrao Patwardhan was the Maharaja of Sangli. Bhagyashree has two younger sisters named Purnima and Madhuvanti.

Career of Bhagyashree
Bhagyashree marked her entry into the world of acting with the television serial Kacchhi Dhoop by the veteran actor Amol Palekar. Later on she also acted in Honi Anhoni and Kisse Miya Biwi Ke. The actress debuted in the silver screen with the movie Maine Pyar Kiya opposite Salman Khan. The movie was critically acclaimed and was commercially successful as well. After her marriage, Bhagyashree acted in three other movies, namely Peepat`s Qaid Main Hai Bulbul, K.C. Bokadia`s Tyagi and Mahendra Shah`s Payal. All of the films featured her husband Himalaya in the male lead. With a short stint in Bollywood flicks she paved her entry into the South Indian film industry making some brief appearances in some of the films and then tried her luck in a Bangladeshi film. She worked in a Marathi film Zhak Marli Baiko Keli in June 2009 which was a romantic comedy.

Though Bhagyashree`s marital life dominated her acting career, yet with her television soaps the audiences have seen her evolving as a true actress. She acted in few serials like Aandhi Jasbaton Ki where she essayed the role of a politician, Didi Ka Dulha and a comedy serial on national broadcaster Doordarshan. She also acted in a telefilm and in the recent past has also anchored the show called Jubille Plus and acted in the soap called Smriti. Some of her other television serials include Jaan ....Radha, Kaagaz Ki Kasti ....Aarti and the 2009 edition of the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa- 3.
