Bisalpur

In the Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh lies the town of Bisalpur with all its scenic beauty.

Bisalpur is a city as well as a municipal board situated in the Pilibhit district in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. The exact geographical location of the town is at 28.3° N and 79.8° E at a height of 156 metres (511 feet) above sea level. The picturesque place has lush green meadows scattered all around. The town is renowned for its Sugar Factory and the Ram Leela Dushera festival held every year. There are a number of educational institutions providing good quality education in various fields like engineering, medical, agriculture and others.

As per the demographical information gathered in the 2001 census, the city of Bisalpur has a population of 60,680. Males and females respectively make up 54% and 46% of the population. The mean literacy rate is 47%, lesser than the nationwide standard of 59.5%. Male literacy and female literacy is respectively 55% and 38%. 17% of the population is less than 6 years of age.
