Due to strong water current, security barriers are installed near the flight of stairs to prevent the visitors from drowning while they take bath in the river.

The best time to visit this place is from October to March. Haridwar can be accessed by Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun or Haridwar Junction Railway Station. It can also be reached by bus from ISBT Kashmiri Gate, Delhi, Dehradun and Rishikesh. National Highway 19 connects Haridwar to other major cities of India.
