Behta Hajipur

Behta Hajipur is a town of the Ghaziabad district in Uttar Pradesh.

Behta Hajipur is a census town situated in the Ghaziabad district in the state of Uttar Pradesh in the northern part of India. The administrative headquarters of the district is located in the town of Ghaziabad. The district is surrounded on the northwest by the Baghpat District, on the north by the Meerut District, on the east by the Jyotiba Phule Nagar District, on the southeast by the Bulandshahr District, on the southwest by the Gautam Buddha Nagar District, and on the west by the state of Haryana. The district came into being on November 14, 1976 from the Ghaziabad tehsil of Meerut District.

As per the 2001 India census, Behta Hajipur has a population of 94,414. Males make up 54% of the population and females comprise 46%. Behta Hajipur has a mean literacy rate of 60%, higher than the nationwide standard of 59.5%. 62% of the males and 38% of the females are literate. 19% of the population constitutes children less than 6 years of age.
