Barwala is a city of the Hisar district in Haryana.

Barwala is a city as well as a municipal committee situated in the Hisar district in the state of Haryana in India. There are nineteen districts in the state of Haryana and Hisar district is one of them. The district headquarters are located in the town of Hisar. The district is included under the Hisar Division. The tehsils of Hisar district are Hisar, Hansi, Narnaund and Adampur. Hisar has extremely hot summers and exceedingly cold winters. The highest day temperature during the summer ranges from 42 to 48 degrees Celsius. During winter it varies somewhat between 1 degree to 4 degrees Celsius. The winds (locally known as loo) are extremely powerful, hot, and frequent during the months of May to July. Usually the southwester summer monsoon brings the rains during July to September period. Sporadic dust storms are also frequent.

The exact geographical location of Barwala is at 29.38° North 75.92° East. It has a mean elevation of 214 metres (702 feet). As per the 2001 India census, Barwala has a population of 33,130. Males make up 53% of the population and females comprise 47%. The city has a mean literacy rate of 57%, lower than the national average of 59.5%. 60% of the males and 40% of the females are literate. 17% of the population is children less than the age of 6 years.
