Bargur is located in the Krishnagiri district in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. It is a panchayat town located at an average elevation of 533 m above the sea level. The town was comprised on 1969 by consolidating 8 villages. Bargur town spreads over a degree of 22.50 sqkm and it is partitioned into 15 wards.
