Bade Bacheli is a town in Dantewada district in Chhattisgarh in India.

Bade Bacheli is a town as well as a "nagar panchayat" situated in the Dantewada district in the state of Chhattisgarh in India. Dantewada District, also identified as Dantewara District or South Bastar District, is a district in Chhattisgarh with the Dantewada town as the district headquarters. Dantewada District has an area of 10,238.99 square kilometres. Its boundaries include the Bastar District on the north and north-east, the Malkangiri District of the state of Orissa on the east, the Khammam District of the state of Andhra Pradesh on the south and southwest, On the east there is also the Indravati River, which forms the boundary with Karimnagar District of Andhra Pradesh and Gadchiroli District of Maharashtra. The population of the state is 719,065 (according to the 2001 census). The tribal people (adivasis) constitute 66% of the population. The district has four tehsils, Bhopalpatnam, Bijapur, Dantewada, and Konta.Before India got her independence and the district was included within the princely state of Bastar. Bastar District was divided into five different districts, namely Bastar, Dantewada, and Kanker in 1999. Dantewada is rich in many species of wildlife such as the tiger, leopard, deer, bison and the like.

Bade Bacheli town of this district has a population of 20,407 according to the 2001 India census. Males comprise 53% of the populace and females 47%. The average literacy rate is 65%, higher than the national average of 59.5%. 60% of the males and 40% of the females are literate. 13% of the inhabitants are below 6 years of age.
