Ashwini Kalsekar, Indian TV ActressAshwini Kalsekar is a television actress born in 1970 near Nashik City in Maharashtra. She did her graduation from Mumbai and graduated in 1991. Her father Dr. Vaibhav Kalsekar is a railway doctor. Ashwini Kalsekar began doing theatre from 1991-1994 as an understudy. She did this course under famous actress Neena Gupta. She also worked under Muzammeel Vakil, the famous theatre acting coach. Ashwini is also a trained Kathak dancer

Ashwini Kalsekar began her acting in the Marathi film, `Tula Jhapar La` in 1996. She next acted in many other movies like `The Hero: Love Story of a Spy`, `Kisna`, `Apaharan` and others. Apart from acting in movies, Ashwini Kalsekar also proved her mettle as an actress by appearing in many popular soaps like `Kitty Party`, `K Street Pali Hill`, `C.I.D.`, `Jeete Hai Jiske Liye` and `Virrudh`. In `Jeete Hai Jiske Liye` she played a completely black character named Adira while in `Virrudh` she worked in the newspaper of Dhirendra Raisinghania. In `K Street Pali Hill` she was seen portraying a character with multiple shades. In the serial `Parivaar` she also did a very interesting cameo. Later she got her breakthrough in the serial `Kasamh Se` where she portrayed the character of a vamp. For her role she won the ITA award for Best actor in a negative role.

In her personal life she is married to film and television character actor Murali Sharma.
