Ashraful Haque was a well known Bollywood actor. He had appeared in more than 30 films and had been appreciated for his work on theater. He is remembered for his roles in movies like "Black Friday" "Traffic Signal" and "Fukrey". Haque was fluent in Bengali, Hindi, English and Assamese.
Early Life of Ashraful Haque
Haque was born in November 3, 1969 in Assam state of India. He did his high schooling from Baladmari High School, Goalpara and received his graduation degree from Goalpara College. He then moved to New Delhi to attend National School of Drama. He did a course in Dramatics with specialization in acting. After passing out of NSD he moved to Mumbai in June, 1997 to try his luck in Bollywood.
Career of Ashraful Haque
His tryst with acting started in his early life. He had begun acting in theatres of Gossaigaon when he was studying in standard eight. He continued his journey till his college and NSD days. During this tenure, he had acted in a lot plays to hone his skills in acting. He had worked with various well known playwrights including Ram Gopal Bajaj before trying his luck in Bollywood.
He had essayed many important character roles in movies like Company, Shool, Mela, Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, Yuva, Jungle, Dil Kya Kare, Calcutta Mail, Risk, Khanna v/s Iyyer, The White Land, Raavan, Aakrosh, Mumbai Cutting, Red Alert, Delhi Belly, Paan Shing Tomar, Mumbai Mast Kalandar, Kranti, Calcutta Mail, Talaash and many others.
However, he is best remembered for his acting in movies like "Black Friday" "Traffic Signal" and "Fukrey". He was widely appreciated and praised by many for his work in Fukrey. He had played the role of a drunkard in the film. He had also played the lead role in the national award-winning film "The Lost Behrupiya" (2013).
Haque had also acted in many Indian television serials. He was last seen playing a villager pleading for police help in searching for a lost buffalo in a soft drink commercial currently airing on TV.
Personal Life of Ashraful Haque
Ashraful was survived by his wife and 9-year old son Ibrahim. He breathed his last on February 17, 2015. He was 45 and was suffering from a bone marrow dysfunction.
