Archana Joglekar has learned Kathak dance from her mother Asha Joglekar, who is also a noted Kathak dancer and instructor in India. In the year 1963, her mother Asha Joglekar founded a dance school in Mumbai called Archana Nrityalaya. In the year 1999, Archana opened a branch of this dance school in New Jersey, United Sates of America

Archana Joglekar started her acting career with a Marathi language film "Ardhangi" directed by Rajdutt. She did lead roles in many Marathi movies where she worked with all lead actors like Sachin and Ajinkya Deo. Archana Joglekar was also a dance director of Marathi movie Nivdung in which she was lead actress. The songs of this film are all-time hit. Archana Joglekar acted in two Oriya language movies in Oriya Cinema named Suna Chadhei and Stree. Archana won Critics Award from Odisha State Government. for her lead role in Suna Chodhei. Archana Joglekar acted in many Hindi language and Marathi language films. Archana Joglekar also had the lead role in Bengali language film "Jeeban Sangi", Tamil language film "Mogh Mool" which won her National Award from the Government of India.
