Early Life and Family of Archana Gupta
Archana Gupta was born on May 28, 1979 in the city of Agra, Uttar Pradesh. She has a younger sister, Vandana Gupta, who is also an actress.

Acting Career of Archana Gupta
Archana Gupta made her acting debut in the Telugu film "Andamaina Manasulo", released in the year 2008, portraying the lead character of Bindu. The same year, she was seen in a Hindi art film "Saanncha", as Chakori. In 2009, she made her debut in Kannada cinema with the film "Circus", playing the female lead Priya opposite actor Ganesh. The film released in mid-January 2009 and received mixed to positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. It completed 50 days of running and was eventually declared an average grosser at the box office. She followed it up with 3 more Kannada films – "Lift Kodla" (2010), "Karthik" (2011) and "Achchu Mechchu" (2011). "Karthik", in which the actress played the lead Nisha, was a remake of the 1983 Hindi film "Betaab". In 2011, Archana was also seen as Nandini in the Hindi film "Queens! Destiny Of Dance".

In 2012, Archana Gupta made her Tamil debut with the action film "Maasi", in the lead opposite actor Arjun Sarja, but the film opened to negative reviews. In 2013, she garnered 3 projects in Malayalam Cinema - "Kaanchi", "Hangover" and "Rasputin". "Kaanchi" released first, featuring Archana as the character Gauri. "Hangover" released in 2014, where she played the parallel lead heroine alongside film actress Shritha Sivadas. She appeared in the coming of age romantic comedy "Rasputin", released in August 2015, alongside Vinay Forrt, Sreenath Bhasi, Aju Varghese, director Joy Mathew and Vandana Menon. In 2013, she had also acted in the English independent film "Desires of the Heart", directed by James Kicklighter and Rajesh Rathi (Indian part of the film). She appeared as Radha alongside Hollywood actors Val Lauren, Alicia Minshew and Bollywood actors Harsh Mayar and Gulshan Grover. The film premiered in the Marche` du Films of the 2014 Cannes Film Festival and was released in theatres across India on November 6, 2015 by Luminosity Pictures, to critical acclaim and multiple international recognitions. Archana also appeared as Hamsa in the 2014 Kannada sports drama "Aryan".

Archana Gupta is currently working on Tamil romantic musical film "Iruvar Ullam", where she will star alongside Vinay Rai and Payal Rajput, slated to release on April 16, 2017. She is also filming Hindi project "Agni - The Fire" and Russian film "Raja Vaska".
