Early Life of Anuya Bhagvath
Anuya Bhagvath was born on 6th September 1989 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. She graduated from the Film and Television Institute, Pune.

Career of Anuya Bhagvath
Anuya Bhagvath made her debut in 2007 with the Children`s film "Mahek", directed by Kranti Kanade. This critically acclaimed Hindi movie was premiered at the London Film Festival. It was nominated in various categories including "Best Picture" at the WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival. This award winning film is included in the University syllabus at the Otterbein University, Ohio, US as part of their "Modern India" studies.

Her next venture was "Siva Manasula Sakthi", an Indian Tamil romantic comedy film written and directed by debutante Rajesh. Released in 2009 to positive reviews, this brought major breakthrough in her film career. A commercially successful venture at the box office, the film featured her essaying the role of a radio jockey.

In the same year she appeared in "Madurai Sambavam", a film set against the backdrop of Madurai. The film was made on a small budget and featured Bhagvath in the role of a cop. The film received mixed reviews and was a commercial success.

During this period, she took a break from films to focus on dance. This helped her fetch a role in the film "Nagaram", a Tamil action film co-produced written and directed by Sundar C, who himself plays the lead role. The film released in 2010 and is based on the 1993 American movie "Carlito`s Way".

Anuya Bhagvath made a cameo appearance in S. Shankar"s "Nanban" and followed it with a special appearance in a promotional song in "Naan" and an item number in "Nanjupuram". She then made a debut in a Bengali film titled "Gora", based on a novel of the same name by Rabindranath Tagore.

After long gap, Anuya Bhagvath featured in the Doordarshan TV series, "Ek Tha Rusty" in 2014, playing Maharani. In 2017, she came back to small screen as contestant of Bigg Boss Tamil in Vijay Television, which is hosted by Kamal Hassan.
