Anand Tiwari, Indian Movie ActorAnand Tiwari is an Indian actor and thespian who has carved a distinct niche for himself through his appealing roles. He appears primarily in Bollywood movies and has earned recognition through films like Udaan, Kites, Aisha and many more. He is also an applauded stage actor and is best known for portraying the role of a `lamp post` in the play One on One. Anand Tiwari is also the co founder of FAT Productions, a theatre company in Mumbai. Apart from acting, he has also worked as an assistant director and co-ordinator.

Early Life of Anand Tiwari
Anand Tiwari was born on 29th May 1983. He hails from a family of doctors in Matunga, situated in Mumbai. His began his acting career from local Marathi theatres where he portrayed small roles during festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi and Navaratri. Being keenly interested in theatres he used to visit Shivaji Mandir in Dadar frequently for watching plays. He also used to attend acting workshops during summers at his school. In the year 2004 he completed his graduation in Mass Media from University of Mumbai with a major in advertising.

Anand Tiwari initially worked as a stage actor in Mumbai for several years. He acted in famous plays such as Dreams of Taleem under the direction of Sunil Shanbag, Rage Theatre`s One on One and All about My Mother. Gradually he made his way to Bollywood and acted in a number of movies including Mumbai Meri Jaan, Slumdog Millionaire, Udaan, Kites, Aisha, Go Goa Gone and many more. He also enacted in the Hollywood film Fair Game, in the year 2010, which was an official entry to at the Cannes Film Festival. Anand Tiwari has also appeared in several television commercials for brands like Citibank, GNIIT, Jet Airways, DISH TV and Tanishq. He also enacted in the popular `Jaagore` campaign of Tata Tea in the year 2010. Apart from acting, he was the assistant director for the movie The President Is Coming (2009) and Anurag Basu`s film Barfi! (2012). Anand has also worked as assistant director and assistant co-ordinator with Cogito TV and Cyclops Films and Video. He has also directed a short film named Neighbours in 2012.
