Ekdil is a small town with a nagar panchayat in Etawah
district of the northern state of India, Uttar Pradesh
As per the India 2001 census report, Ekdil had a population of 9945 inhabitants. Fifty three percent of the population is males and forty seven percent of the population consists of females. In Ekdil, 17% of the population is less than six years of age. Ekdil has an average literacy rate of 55%, which is lower than the national average of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 63% and the female literacy rate is 46%.
