Malayil Palli Muslim Jamaath and Pengattusseri Muslim Jamaath are the main Jama Masjids in Edathala Panchayat. There are some other masjids; Marva Masjid and Safa Masjid at Pookkattupady.
Demographics of Edathala
As of 2001 Indian census report, Edathala had a population of 67,137 inhabitants. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Edathala has an average literacy rate of 80%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 83%, and female literacy is 77%.
