Edaikodu is a small settlement in Kanyakumari district in southern state of India, Tamil Nadu. The nearest airport is the Trivandrum International Airport and the nearest Railway Station is the Kuzhithurai Railway Station. Nagercoil Railway Station is the nearest railway junction. It is well connected by roadways, as it is easily accessible from Kuzhithurai by road. Palugal surrounds it in the west, Cheruvallur in the southwest Muzhukode in the southeast and Thriparappu in the northeast.
The nearest attraction of the town includes Thriparappu Waterfalls, Thiruvattar and Kuzhithurai Amman Temple.
As per the 2001 India census report, Edaikodu had a population of 23,320 inhabitants. Males constitute 495 of the population and females 51% of the population. In Edaikodu, 10% of the population is less than six years of age. Edaikodu has an average literacy rate of 78%, which is much higher than the national average literacy rate of 59.5%. 82% of the males are literate and 75% of the females are literate.
