Dumarkunda is a census town located in the Dhanbad
district of Jharkhand
According to the 2001 census report, Dumarkunda had a population of 10,980. Males constitute 53% of the population and females constitute 47% of the population. In Dumarkunda, 15% of the population is less than six years of age. Dumarkunda has an average literacy rate of 52%, which is much lower than the national average literacy rate of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 63% and,the female literacy rate is 39%.
