 Kotitirtha is one of the most sacred places of Gokarna in Karnataka. It is a man-made tank holding great religious significance. This pond is visited by both locals and tourists around the year. According to a legend in Gokarna, Kotitirtha is believed to be the origin of a thousand springs. People come to visit this spot and take a holy dip in the waters of Kotitirtha. It is located near to the popular Mahabaleshwar Temple as a result of which it attracts several tourists to it.
