Overlooking the scenic valley of Pynthowah, the Ialong Park is known for its sacred grove and its picturesque setting with a variety of flowers
that are native to the state
. Located about 8 km from Jowai, the Ialong Park is one of the popular tourist attractions in the Jaintia Hills district
. The park is under the Special DRDA Tourism Project taken up by the district administration.
To facilitate tourism, some changes were made in the Ialong Park, like the construction of a water eco- park
along with accommodating the place with water dams, toilets, canals, changing rooms etc.
