![]() History of Dronagiri Fort Earlier, the fort was under the rule of Yadav of Devgiri. In 1530, the fort was renovated by the Portuguese. In 1535, father Antono-de-porto constructed three churches near the fort, namely Nosa senhora, N.S.Da Penha and Sam Francisco. Then in 16th century, Dronagiri Fort was captured by Adil Shah and he controlled the fort for some period. After that, it finally went under the control of the British. The fort was captured by Manaji Angre along with the Uran Fort on 10th March in 1739.
