It lies about 5 km from Happy Valley and is about 96 metres (315 ft) in height. Sweet Waterfall is one of the steepest and the most thrilling single stream waterfalls of Meghalaya. The water falls down with a tremendous force in the absence of rocks or anything else to break its flow. The adjacent areas are filled with pine trees.
Sweet Waterfall, also known as ‘Weitden’ in the local language, is often termed as the "most beautiful" yet "most dangerous" waterfall in Shillong. The fall is very popular as a picnic spot and there is a butterfly museum and a mini zoo nearby as added attractions.
Visiting Information of Sweet Waterfall
