Solang Valley is a valley located at the top of the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh. It offers a beautiful view of glaciers and snow capped mountains. This is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Himachal Pradesh.

Solang Valley is a side valley that lies between Solang village and Beas Kund in Himachal Pradesh. This valley is located at a distance of 13 kms from Manali on the way to Rohtang Pass.
Activities at Solang Valley
Solang Valley is known for its summer and winter sport conditions. In winter, the valley becomes a skiing paradise with children of all ages slipping and sliding over the fresh white snow. When snow melts in the summer, skiing is replaced by parachuting, zorbing, paragliding and horse riding.
The sports that are most commonly offered at Solang Valley are parachuting, paragliding, skating, horse riding and zorbing. There are a few ski agencies that offer courses and equipment for skiing during winters. A Ski Himalayas Ropeway was recently opened.

The closest main town to Solang valley is Manali. Bhuntar Airport is the nearest airport to Manali town. Jogindernagar railway station is the nearest railhead from Solang Valley. From there, one can hire taxis or cabs to the Solang Valley.
