Adinath Temple of Kathgola
Adinath Temple also known as Paresh Nath Temple or Kathgola Temple is situated in the Kathgola Gardens. The temple is dedicated to Bhagawan Adishvar. The white coloured idol of Bhagwan Adinath is very ancient and considered to be around 900 years old. There are 17 other images of Jain Tithankaras and other deities. The architecture of the temple is unique. Near the temple, there is located a darbari, which is dedicated to the Jain saint Jinadutta Suriji Maharaj; the darbari contains a pair of Charans of Guruji.
Kathgola Palace is a four-storied palace situated in the Kathgola Gardens. The front portion of the palace is adorned with valuable paintings, mirrors and priceless furniture. Along with that, the palace has a pond and a baoli in the palace complex. In this Kathgola Palace William Watts and Walsh met Mir Jafar, three days after the Battle of Plassey in 1757, to confer the payment of the amounts specified by them before the battle was fought.
