 Located in central India in the stateof Madhya Pradesh, the Chachai Falls is in the Rewa District at the edge of the Chitrakoot Hills, which is a part of the Kaimur Range. Standing at an elevation of 130 m, the watercourse of the Chachai Falls is on the Bihad River, which is a tributary of the Tamsa or Tons Riveras it comes down from the Rewa Plateau.
This type of waterfall is an example of the nick point which is caused by rejuvenation. Also known as the knick point basically represents the breaks in slopes in the longitudinal profile of a river caused by rejuvenation. The break in channel gradient allows water to fall vertically giving rise to a waterfall.
