 It is hard to forget the bubbly and talkative Sonya in the Bollywood chartbuster 'Kaho Na Pyar Hai'? Well, that is Tanaaz Currim. She was born on 8th April and brought up in Mumbai. One cannot guess by just having a glance at her that she is the mother of a young kid. Her acting flair has made her gain a strong footage in the television industry for more than a decade. Her first brush with television was the role in her debut serial 'Zaban Sambhalke'. She was much acclaimed for her performance in this serial inspite of it being a very tough role to portray.
In fact this was also the role she enjoyed doing the most. In the very popular soap 'Swabhimaan' also she was seen in the character of Bubbly. But this extremely talented actress is mostly famous in the industry for the comic portrayals. She always tries to be as much innovative as possible in the comedies. She strongly believes that justice is not done to the females in comedy. She prefers to watch and perform situational comedies. But in the popular soap 'Yeh Meri Life Hai' she also wooed the audience by her performance in a negative role. As an actress she likes to do challenging roles and feels that she can carry out comic roles better than other people. She also prefers the kind of roles that are offered to her and that is well reflected in her performances.
Tanaaz Currim wants her fans to be always happy with her performances. In order to do that she prefers to do very selective work and makes sure that the movies are a hit. She has delivered splendid performances in diverse roles in several movies including 'Battle of Bollywood', 'Do Aur Do Paanch', 'Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai', ' Rehna Hai Tere Dil Main', 'Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai', 'Main Prem KI Deewani Hoon', 'Kabhi Toh Milenge', '36 China Town'.
On television currently she is doing 'Fooltu Pagal Hai' for the channel Zee Smile. She took the project up instantly when it was offered to her because it was a Ravi Rai comedy and it was a fun team to work with. She particularly liked the role of the main doctor in the hospital called Dr. Marry who always speaks Hindi and Urdu and always says a wrong word for the correct thing. She felt that it was a little over the top and realistic comedy with juicy bits and the chemistry was well developed between the characters. She is also working on another stand up comedy called Comedy Ghanta for the channel Zee Smile where she portrays the character of a weather girl who has immense attitude and talks about everything but the weather. She is actively involved in the theater and is also doing a play called 'Rangeen'.
In her personal life also Tanaaz Currim is a very happy and contented person. She shares a very good relationship with her daughter like that of a friend. They share everything about their lives and she let her make own decision and give her enough space. This gifted actor and beautiful individual is loved by all her fans for her simplicity and down-to-earth nature. Her sincere fan following wishes that she scales great heights of success in the years to come.
