Deori is a town in Shahdol district in Madhya Pradesh.

Deori is a town in Shahdol district in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It is located between 21.45° North latitude and 80.85° East longitude. It is located at a height of 360 metres (1181 feet) above mean sea level.

According to the 2001 census report, Deori had a population of 5761 inhabitants. Males constitute 53% of the population and females constitute 47%. In Deori, 14% of the population is less than six years of age. Deori has an average literacy rate of 68%, which is higher than the national average of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 77% and, female literacy rate is 57%.
