Deori is a taluka headquarters in the Giridih district of Jharkhand. It is situated in the north eastern part of Giridih district and 45 km. north of Giridih, the district headquarters. It shares its border with the state of Bihar. The nearby towns are Kharagdiha and Khajuri. The Sakri River flows through Deori. The place is easily accessible from other parts of Jharkhand. Ranchi Airport is the nearest airport and the closest railway station is the Giridih Railway Station. Jharkhand Dham, a significant pilgrimage spot, is the main attraction of Deori.
