Located in the porbandar district of Gujarat Chhaya is a small town. The climate of the place is very pleasant. Cotton, groundnut, bajra, gram, wheat and jowar are some of the major crops cultivated. Chayya has a fine darbargadh palace and fishing villages.
The tourist attractions in Chhaya are Kirti Mandir, Nehru Planetarium, Bharat Mandir, Huzoor Palace, Daria Rajmahal, Morvi and Victoria Jubilee Madrassa.The place also has a fine darbargadh palace .The main occupation of the people living here is agriculture. According to the 2001 census report, Chhaya has a population of 38,525. Males constitute 53% of the population while females comprises of 47% of the population. In Chhaya 12% of the population is less than six years of age. It has a literacy rate, which is 71%, which is quite high than the national literacy rate, which is 59.5%. The literacy of the male is 78% while that of the female is 62%.
