Cachar District is an administrative district in the state of Assam. Tourism in Cachar District gives the visitors the comfort of inner eyes, as the general natural appearance of this district is extremely picturesque. Cachar district has a mixed land composed of high hills, low lands and level plains. In the north, east and south it is surrounded by series of purple hills whose forest-clad sides are seamed with beautiful landscapes.
Hailakandi district is one of the 27 districts of Assam state in north-eastern India. It was constituted as a civil subdivision on 1st June 1869. Subsequently, it was upgraded to district in 1989, when it was split from Cachar district.
Karimganj District is one of the 33 districts of Assam state. The administrative headquarters of this district, Karimganj city is the biggest city in this district. It is located in southern Assam and borders Tripura and Sylhet district of Bangladesh. Karimganj District was a part of Sylhet district of Assam before partition of India and remained in India while the rest of Sylhet district was given to East Pakistan. Karimganj District became a district in 1983.
