Suhani Kalita, Indian Movie ActressSuhani Kalita is an Indian film actress and model, who has predominantly appeared in Telugu films. She has also appeared in a few Hindi, Tamil and Bengali films. Fluent in Hindi, French Telugu and English languages, the actress has also worked as a model. She started out appearing as a child artiste in multiple Telugu movies, and won the Nandi Award for Best Child Actress for her work in the 2000 Telugu film "Hindustan - The Mother".

Early Life and Education of Suhani Kalita
Suhani Kalita was born on December 25, 1991 in Hyderabad, the state capital of Andhra Pradesh, in an Urdu-speaking family. She studied at Rosary Convent High School in Hyderabad and completed her secondary schooling from St. Mary`s Junior College. She earned her graduation degree from Aurora Degree College and is currently pursuing her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad.

Career of Suhani Kalita
Suhani Kalita started out appearing as a child artiste in multiple Telugu films, along with a Hindi and a Bengali movie. She first acted in the 1996 Telugu film "Bala Ramayanam", a film that opened many doors for her and she went on to work as a child artiste in many other Telugu films in the following years. These films include "Ganesh" (1998), "Premante Idera" (1998), "Naa Hrudayamlo Nidurinche Cheli" (1999), "Preminche Manasu" (1999), "Hindustan - The Mother" (2000), "Eduruleni Manishi" (2001), "Manasantha Nuvve" (2001), "Ela Cheppanu" (2003) and "Anandamanandamaye" (2004). Her portrayal of the child character Harini in "Hindustan – The Mother" was recognised with film awards. She also acted as a child artiste in the 2002 Hindi romance drama film "Kuch Tum Kaho Kuch Hum Kahein" and the 2003 Bengali movie "Moner Majhe Tumhi".

Suhani Kalita started working as a model, as she participated in the Miss Andhra Pradesh Beauty Contest. She also walked the ramp for top fashion designers like Sabyasachi Mukherjee. She has also been the brand ambassador for brands such as Neerus, RS Brothers, Samsung, Suraj Bhan Jewellers, DB Fashions, Kaasam Brothers, Saravana Stores, Videocon, Sisley and Airtel. She has appeared in print advertisements for brands like BSNL, Karvy Finances and Idea Cellular. She has also worked in a few music videos, for artistes like Atif Aslam.

Suhani Kalita, Indian Movie ActressSuhani later started featuring as an adult actress in Telugu films, appearing in the role of Keerthana Narasinham in "Savaal" and as a club dancer in the thriller "Anasuya", both released in 2007. She subsequently appeared in Telugu films "Krushi" (2008) and "Srisailam" (2009). In 2010, the actress was seen playing the role of Mahalakshmi in the coming-of-age musical "Sneha Geetham", alongside Sundeep Kishan, Chaitanya Krishna, Ria, Venky Atluri and Shreya Dhanwanthary in the lead. The same year, she made her Tamil feature film debut with the action film "Irandu Mugam", alongside actors Sathyaraj and Karan who featured in the lead. She was seen as the character Pavithra in the film that portrayed the poor political system in India, and released to good reviews in September 2010. She was seen in another Tamil movie "Appavi", released in 2011 where she portrayed Ramya and Telugu film "Sukumar", where she played Pooja, released in the same year.
