Prashanti Singh is an Indian basketball player hailing from Varanasi. She is a prominent member of National Women`s Basketball Team.

Prashanti Singh, Indian Basketball PlayerPrashanti Singh is a shooting guard for national women`s basketball team. She was born on born 5 May 1984.

Prashanti Singh represented the team at 2006 Commonwealth Games, 16th Asian Games Guangzhou 2010 and 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014.

Prashanti Singh is one of the most prominent players of "Basketball Family of India" where four out of five sisters has played or playing for Indian national team in basketball.

Prashanti Singh joined the Indian Women`s Basketball Team in the year 2003. Prashanti Singh became its captain. She played as captain in 3rd Asian Indoor Games were held in Vietnam on 30th October - 8th November 2009 won Silver medal and 16th Asian Games at Guangzhou China in November 2010.

Prashanti Singh won gold Medal in Asian beach games at Sri Lanka in 2011. Prashanti Singh is one of the top four A grade player of India selected and sponsored by basketball federation of India and IMG-Reliance. Prashanti Singh won 21 Medals in prestigious National Championship, National Games and Federation Cup.

Prashanti Singh is also the member of International Women`s Film Forum of Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT). Prashanti Singh scored top 6 in 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014. In the year 2013, she played for 25 FIBA ASIA Basketball Championship for senior women held in Bangkok, Thailand. In the same year, she also participated in the International exposure trip at NBA Training Centre, Dongguan, China. In the year 2011, she participated in the 1st Asian Beach Games, Sri Lanka. There she won the Gold medals. In the 2011, FIBA Asian Basketball Championship for Senior women, Nagasaki, Japan was her grand success. In the year 2011, she played for 33 William Jones Cup, Chinese Taipei. In the year 2010, she also participated in16th Asian Games, Guangzhou, China. There she was the captain of Indian national Basketball Team. Previously in the year 2009, she participated in Asian Indoor Games, Vietnam, as a captain. There she won the silver. In the year 2009, she participated in FIBA Asian Basketball Championship for Senior Women in Chennai. From 3rd to 10th June 2007, she participated in FIBA Asia Championship for Women, Incheon, South Korea. She was there the Pool B winner. From 15th to 26th March 2006, she a participated in 2006 Commonwealth Games from Melbourne. From 7th to 12 March 2006, she played in the friendly Match Series in Auckland (New Zealand). From 22nd September 2006 to 25 September 2006, she played in the first Phuket International Invitational Basketball Championship (Thailand). There she won the gold medal. From 13th to 19th January 2005, she participated in the 20th Asian Basketball Confederation Championship for Senior Women, Sendai, Japan. There she won the silver medal in Level II Competition.
