Chidiya Tapu Beach is located on the furthest Southern tip of South Andaman Island of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, 25 kilometres South of Port Blair and takes about 45 minutes to get there by car.

Attraction of Chidiya Tapu Beach
The scenic beauty and the pristine atmosphere is the centre of attraction to the tourists. Chidya Tapu Beach is small in size flanked with sea walls. It is dotted with green mangroves and the thick peaceful forest. The place is also famous for its 46 varieties of widespread birds, white spotted deer and seasonal orchids. The birds like drongos, hanging parrot, scarlet minivet, emerald dove, long-tailed and red-breasted parakeets, white-bellied sea eagles and grey-fronted and imperial green pigeons.

There are "Beware of crocodile" signboards along the way. This sea beach makes it an exceptional place for snorkelling, angling and other adventure water sports. It offers a range of sea shells which makes shell craft a prime industry of the Chidiya Tapu. Some of the shell products which are sold here are table lamps, ashtrays, bangles, decorative boxes, show pieces and many other home decors.

Chidya Tapu Beach is just about 17.1 kilometres from the centre of Port Blair via National Highway 4. People can hire a cab or can travel by local transportations such as taxis, autos, buses, minibuses.
