![]() Early Life of Ehsaan Noorani Ehsaan Noorani was born on 12th October 1963. He was brought up in an environment where he got a close tryst with diverse genres of music since a young age. Thus he developed a keen interest in music right from his childhood. He began learning guitar in Mumbai under the tutelage of Bismarck Rodriguez at the age of 14. Later Ehsaan attended GIT viz. the Guitar Institute of Technology in USA, currently known as MI, between the period of 1985 and 1986. The turning point in his musical life arrived during this period as he began exploring his potentials as a guitarist. His learning experience in the institute greatly expanded his skills and he also got exposed to some of the stalwarts of music. Over time he greatly enhanced his improvisation and composition skills. Career of Ehsaan Noorani ![]() Afterwards, Ehsaan Noorani collaborated with Shankar Mahadevan and Loy Mendonsa to form the musical trio Shankar Ehsaan Loy which created waves in Bollywood with their fresh and enchanting compositions. He also voiced many songs along with his partner Shankar Mahadevan including the songs 'Yeh Dil Deewana' from Pardes, 'Vande Mataram' from Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi' from Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge. He has also rendered some of the finest guitar pieces for many Bollywood music directors. Ehsaan's expertise comprises different genres like metal, country, rock and blues. Apart from films he also performs with his band titled Apostrophe. Ehsaan Noorani has also received a number of prestigious accolades as a part of the musical trio Shankar Ehsaan Loy for composing many brilliant songs for Hindi films. |
