Spring Zouk FestivalSpring Zouk is an impressive festival which had been organised in the month of February, 2012 in the southern Indian state of Karnataka, at St Mary`s Islands. It started on 3rd February and continued till 5th February, at Udupi Beach. Different sponsors and the State Government of Karnataka had coordinated this grand Indian festival which also attracted global tourists. About 30 international bands deliver live performances in the Spring Zouk festival, and the singers included Prem Joshua, June Reactor and several others. It was believed to be a prosperous and fun-filled musical event.

The aim of Spring Zouk is to introduce Western and Indian style of culture, cuisine, music and arts. Skilled musicians and DJs from all across the globe perform here. The music of folk musicians and Indian tribal music are emphasized in this festival and are generally highlighted. Spring Zouk Festival of 2012 witnessed the tribal art-forms consisting of `Thalavattam`, `Kudubi` and `Yakshagana`. Besides, Karnataka, this festival is also held in Goa.
