Daitari is a census town located in the Kendujhar district in the state of Orissa in India. The exact geographical location of the town is at 21.1° North and 85.75° East. It has an average elevation of 229 meters (751 feet).
The 2001 India census records a population of 4239 in the town. Out of the 54% males, 78% are literate. Females make up 46% of the population and the female literacy rate is 60%. The average literacy rate amounts to 69% which becomes higher than the national average of 59.5%. 11% of the population is children less than 6 years of age.
