Chandia is a town located in Umaria district in Madhya Pradesh.It is located at 23.65° N 80.7° E.According to the census of 2001 Chandia had a population of 12,806with males occupying 51%of the population and females 49%. At that time 17% of the population was under six years of age. The literacy rate of this town is 53% which is lower than the national average of 59.5%.Male literacy is 65%and female literacy is 40%.
