Priyanka Kothari, Indian Movie Actress Priyanka Kothari, also known as Nisha Kothari or Amoga is a prominent Indian actress who appears in Bollywood movies. She has also enacted in a number of South Indian movies including Kannada, Tamil and Telugu films. Priyanka Kothari made her debut in the film industry with a Telegu movie in the year 2003. She has worked frequently with the famed director Ram Gopal Varma. She has also ventured in the world of modelling and has appeared in a few music videos.

Early Life of Priyanka Kothari
Priyanka Kothari was born on 30th November 1983 in Nadia district of West Bengal. She belonged to a Marwari Jain family and is fluent with multiple languages including English, Hindi, Bengali and Rajasthani. While she was in grade 10, she moved to Delhi. She completed her graduation in Chemistry from Dyal Singh College, Delhi University. Since her father is a chemical businessman, she opted for chemistry. Priyanka had received Kathak training for 6 years and had also attended Kishore Namit Kapoor`s acting classes.

After completion of her studies, Priyanka Kothari began her career as a model. She appeared in various advertisement campaigns and in a remix music video. In the year 2003, the well known actor Madhavan spotted her after viewing her photographs and recommended her for the audition of his movie. Following this, Priyanka made her cinematic debut with the Tamil movie Jay Jay where she appeared alongside Madhavan. She adopted the name Amoga for South Indian movies.

The year 2005 marked her Bollywood debut with Ram Gopal Varma`s movie Sarkar. In the same year, later, she starred in the movie James under the direction of Rohit Jugraj. Her next venture was the movie The Killer with Emraan Hashmi. Afterwards she appeared in a number of movies but in insignificant roles. She was frequently seen in Ram Gopal Varma`s films including Aag, Darna Zaroori Hai, Shiva, Agyaat and Darling. She was also featured in Ram Gopal Varma`s productions such as Stalker and Go. In 2011 she had just one Bollywood release Bin Bulaye Baraati. Apart from these Priyanka Kothari continued with her career in South Indian film industry.

Other Ventures of Priyanka Kothari
Apart from acting, Priyanka Kothari is also involved in other ventures. She is a member of the International Film and Television Club of Asian Academy of Film and Television. She campaigned for an All India Trinamool Congress candidate alogn with Dr Nirmal Majhi, who was contesting from North Uluberia, Kolkata during the 2011 West Bengal state assembly elections. She also walked the ramp at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) in the year 2011. The event was described as her comeback in Bollywood.
