Objectives of Asian Academy of Film and Television
Asian Academy of Film and Television was planned as an alternative platform to formal film schools and has since come an extended way making an exceptional place for itself amongst the best global centres of education of its kind. Growing to be certified as the first ISO 9001:2000 film school in this part of the world in less than a decade since its inception, the Academy was also permitted to be an international level training centre by the 125 years old City and Guilds of the United Kingdom in the year 2002. The Asian Academy of Film and Television believes that training and skill building are quite essential in the field of illustration media.
Faculty of Asian Academy of Film and Television
The film school training is not limited to only classrooms and lectures on theories and techniques. At AAFT the faculty have adopted an all-inclusive training method with equal significance on the practical training of filmmaking and acting. Expert media practitioners supplemented by visiting guest lecturers impart education and training for various courses. The teachers are the leading exponents of their expert skills in the realistic craft of film and television production.
The Asian Academy of Film and Television has also done pioneer work of generating training a world class material in the form of books and video recordings on the various techniques of film and television production both for the benefit of its students and the practicing of film and television professionals. The documentation Centre of the academy also has produced several books on the art and screen presentation. The academy is allied to the International Film and Television Research Centre, which aims at raising the proficient standards of films and television presentations. Film and Television personalities from all over the world come as guest faculties of the Research Centre. AAFT is also closely associated to International Film and Television club.
