Culture of Bhojpur district includes a wide range of activities, including films, literature and fashion. The films made here are interesting and involve successful film personalities like Janardan Singh who made the film `Piya Nirmohia`, Viswanth Shahabadi who directed `Ganga Maiya Tohen Piyari Chadhaib`, Ashok Chand Jain and Laxman Shahabadi who made the movie `Ganga Kinare Mora Gao` and many more talented personas. Sri Ramdayal Pandey, Sri Nandkisor Tiwari, Sri Kedarnath Mishra Prabhat, Collector Singh Keshari, Sri Ramnath Pathak Pranaye, Prof. Sarvdev Tiwary Rakesh and others are significant poetic personalities associated with the rich culture of Bhojpuri. These people lived during the Chayavadi era.

`Kaljayi Kunwar Singh` was the very first Bhojpuri Mahakabya which was composed by Professor Sarvdev Tiwary Rakesh. Professor Mithileshwar is yet another notable person who received numerous awards in the field of literature, both at the national as well as international levels.
